The Soyabella™ Soymilk Maker is very elegant looking on the counter and the 1.3 litre capacity is just right. Assembly, operation and cleaning guidelines are easy to follow and well documented in the manual.
Soya beans and nuts need to be pre-soaked and the milk produced looks and tastes great. You can add vanilla and sweetening to the milk after it is made and there is no straining required. The Basic Vanilla Soymilk Recipe included is delicious.
Good rice milk can be made with pre-soaked rice as per instructions, but cleaning is more tedious and there are other ways to prepare the rice - see my Tips for Making Rice Milk with the Soyabella. You can also grind coffee beans and mill whole grains with this unit.
Clean-up was reasonable and should be done immediately after use. There is a small brush and scouring pad included - very helpful. The chamber cleans easily due to the nice brushed stainless steel interior. Read instructions carefully regarding how to clean the unit and what not to get wet during cleaning.
Appliance construction and accessories are high quality, and the Soyabella has sensors to prevent spills, overheating and blade injury. Very practical accessories are included such as measuring and utility cups.
Overall, this is a high quality product that performs well and is a must for those who want to make their own non-dairy milk. It really is amazing how a 15 minute operation will turn soya beans and water into white wholesome milk. |
